The Ipswich Silver Spinners was the
first Majorette Troupe to be formed in Ipswich. The troupe has been established since 1982.
The Silver Spinners are affiliated to the United Kingdom Federation
of Majorettes (UKFM), girls and boys take part in winter competitions
between September and April. In April the UKFM hold their Nationals at
Pontins, Camber Sands.
Through the UKFM, girls and boys can be trained in the art of Baton
Twirling etc. there are many grade badges to be obtained:
Twirling Badges:
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Supreme One, Supreme Two, Supreme Three, Supreme Four
and Supreme Five.
Equipment Grades:
Pom Pom, Ribbon
Baton, Wheel Baton, Flag Baton, Mace One, Mace Two and Mace Major.
During the Summer the Ipswich Silver Spinners can be seen
throughout the region entertaining the public at Fete's, Funday's
and Carnivals.

Sue Jackson is the Troupe Leader of the Silver Spinners,
and is also a senior judge of the UKFM and we have other UKFM
judges and UKFM qualified twirling instructors within the Troupe.
