RULES FOR NORFOLK & SUFFOLK GROUP CHAMPIONSHIP 2008

 

1.Events

For 2008 the Championship shall be run over six rounds with a rider’s worst score from the year being discounted from the final results.

 

2. Eligibility

A rider must be a member of a club affiliated to the Norfolk & Suffolk Group to be eligible for the championship.

A rider must compete in a minimum of three rounds to be eligible for the championship.

 

3. Classes & Route

Classes will be:  Expert

                        Intermediate

                        Novice             

                        Inter B

                        Youth A

                        Youth B

 

The route for Youth riders should be as follows:-

 

Youth A Intermediate or Novice route as decided by the Clerk of the Course.

(all riders must ride the same route).

 

Youth B Novice route.

 

Youth riders are permitted to ride a different route but will not score points towards the championship.

 

4. Points

Points will be awarded as follows:- 1st 20pts, 2nd 17, 3rd 15, 4th 13, 5th 11, 6th 10. Then reducing by one point down to fifteenth place.

Non Group riders will be ignored when awarding these points.

 

5. Ties

Ties will be resolved by ACU STR’s

 

6. Sections

Generally the sections should be run to the standard of a normal open to centre event.

 

A practice lap for experts is permitted but the final decision on this will be left to the organising club at the time of the event.

 

7. Recording of Results

A copy of the results and a full entry list must be sent to the group recorder within fourteen days of the event.
